KATANAZI CONTAINER cOMPLEX

This project explores the innovative design of a container-based commercial center on a 1/2-acre plot, accommodating a mix of retail spaces, a restaurant, and a co-working hub across two levels.

 

The central structure is elevated, optimizing the site by providing parking beneath while integrating landscaped green islands to enhance both functionality and environmental connectivity.

The architectural language is defined by a material palette of insulated black GCI sheets and wood plank cladding, which together establish a contemporary, industrial aesthetic.

 

A dynamic interplay of transparent and opaque panels along the circulation routes allows for controlled natural light penetration, creating a well-lit and engaging spatial experience.
