Set against the open plains of Athi River, this three-bedroom residence is conceived as a quiet response to its landscape. The home is organized along a central axis that separates public and private spaces while drawing the eye from the entrance through to an outdoor courtyard and the expansive views beyond.

A restrained palette of yellow stone and textured plaster allows the house to blend naturally with the tones of its surroundings. Horizontal ribbon windows bring soft natural light into the interiors while reducing direct solar exposure, and the lean-to roof forms create generous internal volumes while giving the residence its distinctive silhouette.
